how to solve another manipulating powers question...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x ^{12}y ^{12}z ^{-20}/a ^{-2}b ^{-4}c ^{8}\times a ^{5}b ^{5}c ^{-20}/x ^{30}y ^{5}z ^{45}\]

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[\frac{x^{12}y^{12}z^{-20}}{a^{-2}b^{-4}c^8}\times\frac{a^5b^5c^{-20}}{x^{30}y^5z^{45}}=\frac{x^{12}y^{12}z^{-20}}{x^{30}y^5z^{45}}\times\frac{a^5b^5c^{-20}}{a^{-2}b^{-4}c^8}\]now you can apply the same rule as before :)

oh.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

in case you want to leave this in a form with all positive exponents you will also need to use the formula\[x^{-a}=\frac{1}{x^a}\]but that's only necessary if the problem asks for that....
