I cant figure how to compare fractions like who ran farther Alicia 1/2 or Nguyen 2/3?

find common denominators, whichever has the biggest NUMERATOR (the one on top) after that is the larger fraction.

for example:

1/2 vs 2/3
can both be put into 6

so it's essentially:
3/6 vs 4/6

which is bigger?
