Which statement describes the translation of the graph of y = 2(x + 5)2 + 2 from standard position? Moved down and to the left. Moved up and to the right. Moved up and to the left. Moved down and to the right.

If I'm not incorrect, the graph would translate 2 units up and 5 units left, the number outside the parentheses is the vertical shift, and the number inside it is the horizontal shift. I always tell my self that the vertical shift keeps its sign while the horizontal shift changes direction in this case "+5" would move the graph to the left.
