; OTL. either way. log rules so. that equals: ln( (3x+4) /( 2x+1 ) ) =5 (3x+4)/(2x+1) = e^5. you can solve from here :)
i did and i got 0.49149 but when i plug it back in i get 2 as my asnwer
whay did i do wrong
Very close. missing a negative sign. it's -0.49.... i'll leave you to find out the negative sign unless you want to show working

ok so 3x+4 = e^5(2x+1) 4-e^5 = x(2e^5 -3) x = (4-e^5)/(2e^5-3) = -.49149
