(2x)^-2 y^3 over x^3 y^-2 simplify and help me with the steps please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2x)^-2 y^3 ----------- x^3 y^-2 Using the exponential law\[(a.b)^{m} = a ^{m}.b ^{m}\] 2^-2 * x^-2 * y^3 ---------------- x^3 * y^-2 Now Using the law \[(a ^{m}/a ^{n}) = a ^{m-n}\] 2^-2 * x^-2-3 * y^3-(-2) solving 2^-2 * x^-5 * y^5 finally using the law\[a ^{-m}= 1/a^m\] 1 1 --- * ---- * y^5 2^2 x^5 so final answer is y^5 ------ 4x^5
