how to solve linear equations/ inequality in one variable??? -thanks.. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have an example that we can work through?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y= -1/2x + 1/2 ----| ax+by=c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so you want to write it in the form ax+by=c. First to get rid of the x term on the left hand side we want to add 1/2x y= -1/2x + 1/2 y+1/2x=-1/2x+1/2x+1/2 y+1/2x=1/2
