Cylinders of potato tissue were placed in different concentrations of a sugar solution. If the potato strips have been boiled before the experiment would the same results been obtained without boiling the potato strips?Thanks:)

Probably not because boiling denatured enzymes and other proteins in the potato tissue, making them unable to catalyze reactions. To really answer that question, I'd need a lot more info about what was actually measured in the experiment and how it was done.
