It's all performance today, folks:

- Significantly improved load times, especially in IE8.
- Reduced traffic with the server, which should make things generally snappier.
- Some reduced memory usage on the server, which should reduce the number of situations where the server becomes unresponsive.

Doesn't look like much, but hopefully the site will feel worlds better! Everyone send some thanks out to farmdawgnation and mattfeury, these guys have already worked their butts off with three different browsers to make things work smoothly, and we'll all be continuing to do that the next couple of days.
