For A to be correct, it would have to use sunlight to make it's own food, like a plant.

I definitely know it's not A, because the bat is not a plant...I think it's either B or C....I dont think it's D because it's not fungus/doesn't eat fungus. I cant decide between B or C....I'm leaning towards C because the banana trees(as pictured in the diagram) dont always have to be dead, or aren't specified as dead. Am I right?
