given a set of equations:
we strip the variables and use only the coeffs for our column vectors in the matrix, does that make sense?
OpenStudy (amistre64):
2x+3y=9
4x+5y=3
\begin{pmatrix}2&3&9\\4&5&3\end{pmatrix}
OpenStudy (amistre64):
if there is a variable missing from one equation to the next, you use zero "0" for its entry
OpenStudy (amistre64):
2x-y=3
y=4
\begin{pmatrix}2&-1&3\\0&1&4\end{pmatrix}
OpenStudy (amistre64):
the solution to the system is just the row reduced form of the augmented matrix; the RREF command if you can find it

it says error reserved name or system variable. why?
OpenStudy (amistre64):
dunno, all I get is a picture :)

thanks anyway!

youre welcome
