A tree broke 14ft above the ground. The top of the tree now touches the level ground and the trunk is partially attached to the stump. The angle of inclination of the tree is 43 degrees. sine angle = opposite / hypotenuse sin 43 = 14 / x x = 14 / sin 43 This will get you the length of the fallen part. Add that to the 14 foot stump to get the full height. Height = 14 + (14/sin 43)
