Find the distance between the points (-7, 5) and (4, 1).

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract your points, square, add and sqrt

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(-7, 5) - (4, 1) --------- (-11,4)^2 -------- sqrt(121+16)

OpenStudy (lollylau):

distance between (x0 y0) and (x1 y1) =sqrt(x1-x0)^2+(y1-y0)^2 which is rly pythagoras theorem in another way.
