A 3.5-inch (diameter) floppy disk in a computer rotates with a period of 2.0*10^-1s. If the angular speed is 31.4 rad/s. Whats is the liner speed?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Tinear velocity v along the edge of the disk is given by\[\huge{v=\omega r}\]The period T is given by\[\huge{T=\frac{2\pi}{\omega}}\]where r is the radius of the disk, and omega is the angular velocity given in radians per second. All the information needed here is given in the problem. Actually, we don't even seem to need the period T, though it is given as well.
