Cells need a source of energy in order to grow, reproduce, and carry out many other functions. Converting ATP to ADP is an exothermic process that plays a key role in providing energy for the cell. Which of the following is a way that energy production would most likely be affected if this were an endothermic process instead?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. Converting ADP to ATP would absorb heat, increasing the temperature of the cell. B. The reaction that converts ATP to ADP would not proceed, and cells would have no way to get energy. C. The reverse reaction, converting ADP to ATP, would release energy for the cells to use. D. When ATP is converted to ADP, overall energy production would increase as all the absorbed energy is released.

B as conversion of ADP to ATP i endothermic if it will not occur than energy cannot be stored as a result there is no ATP present whom by by breaking it it can gain energy
