How can you find all the turning points of a cubic function? i know the answer ;) but i want to see if anyone is answering.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the derivative and solve for 0, then test the values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eh...... not bad, i mean without calc. sorry :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and the function _should_ be factorable, else it gets ugly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then expand the function and wherever x = 0 isnt it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, it's also based on degree what kind of turning point ;)
