If the graph of an equation is symmetric with respect to the y-axis and 6 is an x-intercept of this graph, name another x-intercept

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6. Where the graph is a quadratic with its vertex on the y-acis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you come up with -6? That is that part I do not understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

the x-intercepts are equal distances from y-axis

Ihave another ? but I am not sure how to ask it. I have to find an equation of the line L. y=-x & L is perpendicular. #'s on the graph are (-1,1)
