Karen.given is a linear equation so you need to find the intercepts . to do that first put x=0 in the first equation so y=-2; so point becomes (0,-2) then put y=0 in the first equation; so you get x=4 so point is (4,0) now you have two points so plot it on a graph

do the same procedure for the second equation to get another 2 points. That will be (0,-12) and (-24/9,0)
