Can someone help me find schematics for the Acer Veriton 5800/6800/7800 series of computers. The User Manual, VTX800_UG_EN, at pages 54/55 seems to be wrong. I don't have access to a live version to study and must rely on a diagram, but I need a correct one. I have searched many sites but so far no luck.
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here's a link to the service manual for the Veritonx800 series: http://www.manualowl.com/m/Acer%20Computers/Veriton-5800/Manual/115096
Thanks Captain, but unfortunately this is the manual that has the incorrect information and it is the only manual referred to on many, many sites. I have managed to find a poor photograph and have started work trying to work out the parts but I will not get very far because of the angle of view.
No worries, sorry that didn't help out. If I run across anything new, I'll pass it along. Good luck with your studies!
Further to all this, the lecturer responsible for issuing the data sheet was initially unaware of the problem as she was assuming that the company would get their information mostly correct. My view is that because the sheets cover three variants of the same machine there has been a cut and paste of information and the resulting pages cover two machines rather than one. Do you know if there are specific icons to show particular components on the motherboard? It is easy to see the CPU, SATA and Lithium battery for example but some of the auxiliary power, modem, audio and other items are not always clearly distinguished.I will keep searching.
