How do I make my writing shorter and more concise?

jus imagine that by writting long on paper u are wasting wood which is nature's gift

First write your thoughts the way they come out and then go back and edit. Eliminating unnecessary words. Eliminating useless words. Combining and consolidating sentences. Eliminating sentences that don't add value.

Writing is an iterative process.

my paragraphs are typically over 10 sentences long :(

It is not unusual for that to be the case on first draft.
