I want to write something, but I don't know in what format I should write it.
I have some ideas that I want to express. I don't have any evidence to prove them; but they somehow make sense. Can you please tell me what kind of writing would it be, so that I'd know what format I should use?

I would go with a formal academic format. APA format would be appropriate considering the content, but MLA would be acceptable too.

Your publisher might have a specific format that they want you to use though so check with them first before you write the whole thing and then have to re-write it in the format they want.
