I'm havingtrouble with unions and intersections and complements here is the problem: U={1,2,3,...,10} A={1,2,3,4} B={2,3,4} C={2,5,6,7,8} A' ∩ (B ∪ C')
A' means everything in U that is not in A so A' = {5,6,7,8,9,10} Similarly C' = {1,3,4,9,10} So BUC'={1,2,3,4,9,10} Now the question is "What do A' and B U C' have in common? The answer is {9,10}
Thank you, the farthest I got was C' = 1,3,4,9,10 now I can try to figure more of these out now that you have helped me, THANK YOU!
You're welcome.
Actually thats not a answer for the choice: It says Find the following set: A' ∩ (B ∪ C') A' ∩ (B ∪ C') = A) {1,5} , B) {6}, C) {1,2,3}, D) { }
I'll work through it again and see if I can find an error. The first set is the universal set, right?
yeah
Well, do you see the problem?
yeah lmao..they changed the problem on me, sorry ill try to work this one out
