OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a basketball player has a vertical leap of about 25 inches, what is his hang time? Use the hang time function V=48T^2. I get as far as square root of 25/48=T but they want it in seconds. How do I compute that on a calculator?

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

I'm pretty sure that IS in seconds. Take 25, divide by 48, and hit the square root key. Answer is about: 0.7217 seconds
