Can someone help me with matrices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hero (hero):

no :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with Question #42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are the steps?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

what's the difference between that and #41 ? find the inverse then divide by the constant to get A there are quite a few ways to find the inverse

hero (hero):

i would help you, but I don't know the steps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I need to solve #42 LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the inverse I use the identity matrix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya hero I know :D

hero (hero):

How come you didn't just use tutor.com?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They dont know linear algebra

hero (hero):

Yes they do, you just went to the wrong person

OpenStudy (turingtest):

What did you get for the inverse of 4A ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No thsy give you (4A)^-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I first divided by 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then I used the identity matrix thingy

hero (hero):

rld, how come you don't just read the book?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

no that is the last step!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL ok

OpenStudy (turingtest):

dividing by 4 is last

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I knew I was doing it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My book never told me what to do lol

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[((4A)^{-1})^{-1}=4A\]then you can scalar divide by 4...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey i can help you.

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

am i allowed to help you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL Thanks turing :D How can u think while standing on ur head?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Guys turing beat u lOL

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Go ahead I though rld had it from here since he know the identity matrix trick...

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

Turing cheated !! he answered before us

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Turing is amazing!

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

:P

OpenStudy (turingtest):

thought*

OpenStudy (turingtest):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i know what to do from here lol

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

i didnt read the question (anyways i dont know matrices as good as him)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ya thanks guys :D

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

thanks for thanking me as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know a very fast method to find the inverse of 2X2 matrices.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok shoot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ideally it takes me about 5 seconds ;)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/LinAlg/FindingInverseMatrices.aspx I'm guessing you're thinking theorem 4 on this page

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fool u will be able to help me I am not finished my work. I have another few hours of linear algebra. I am not going to bed for another few hours so like stick around LOL

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

ok so now u tell Fool to help.. cant i and turing help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL the more the merrier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i know that shortcut

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At least i know something

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

so y ou r telling me that... Akshay atleast i know something, not like you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep exactly that Turing :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL No i feel stupid around u guys so like at least i know something

razor99 (razor99):

the maths u do is very difficult

hero (hero):

rld, just post all your questions here so I can learn linear algebra before taking it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL Linear algebra is like easy once you get it. So like I only post one in like 15 questions

hero (hero):

By the way, on tutor.com a guy named Ewain G. is the smartest person on there. He will help you with anything math related no matter how difficult.

razor99 (razor99):

gotta run guyz i have to got to the hospital

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HUH????? @razor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In words the adjoint of a 2X2 matrix can be found by swapping the diagonal elements and changing the sign of the off-diagonals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alrighty fool

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

yea we were taught that in grade 12 @fool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I never learn that in grade 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow great akshay I never passed my grade 12 :P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

yea yea that is why u r in iit.. i passed that is why i am not in iit :P -_-

razor99 (razor99):

A = 1.00 2.00 3.00 4.00 Determinant det(A) = 1.00 2.00 3.00 4.00 = -2 The Inverse Matrix of A is: A-1 = -2.00 1.00 1.50 -0.50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok Thanks Guys (espeially turing) for ur help gotta go study otherwse wont get to sleep tonite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, you are right Akshay, now you have established that IIT takes poor students like me :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL @FOOL

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

LOL

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

especially turing? i helped u as well.. 1+1=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk fight it out with turing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of-course she will thank Turing, he is one with pic ;)

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

LOLL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL no cuz he is upside down

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

ok i need to change my pic!! :P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

turing is feeling shy?

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

why is he not asnwering?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL Turing isnt shy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol not fair akshay stop hitting on her:P She clearly likes Turing not us :P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

how do you know?

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

ok i accept the face fool that we are FOOLS turing isn't :P

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I am always sort of doing something else... I just found what the person was missing in the problem is all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL Tuirng is very modest. turing they are just joking around. Dont even argue with them LOL

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

Turing is modest and we are jokers?

razor99 (razor99):

are u stressed

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

just because he has a pic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's mean Rld :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K guys gottta go. Otherwise i wont have time to spend with my

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

my..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

family and friends

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

LOl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Turing :P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Guys u r crazy

razor99 (razor99):

rld did u get your answre

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

jokers---> crazy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I seriously am not like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I am just a Fool ;)
