There's the three R's: Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse.

Reduce your use of non-renewable items to help conserve them, such as instead of using plastic bags at the market using paper bags instead.

Recycle wherever possible such as tossing newspapers, paper bags, and plastic bottles into recycle bins instead of the trash.

Reuse what you can such as refilling plastic water bottles.
