How did the progression of British and colonial actions after the French and Indian War lead to the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence?

OpenStudy (pokemon23):

Taxes ?

OpenStudy (pokemon23):

doesn't it have to do with he stamp act?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Tea act, the Stamp Act, and the Intolerable Acts were all taxes enforced on the Colonists designed to keep them restrained under British rule, benefiting the English economy, and drastically injuring the Colonial economy. After the Boston Tea Party (you should know what that is), British troops were stationed in Boston, creating a stir within the colonies. Soon after, the Boston Massacre occurred, where disgruntled colonists protested against the British soldiers, throwing rocks and insults at a small group. The soldiers opened fire, killing and injuring a few colonists, and sparking outrage within the Colonies. The colonies also made many attempts to contact the British government and reconcile their differences. The British would ignore all attempts by the colonies to create more just laws, and in many cases would ignore them completely. Eventually, the Second Continental Congress came about, where representatives from all colonies, except Georgia, met and decided that they needed to break free of the British Empire.
