OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh kaayyy....

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

kc: I think she's about to post some work for me to look at. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

o i gotcha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would x-0.013=-636 be? would you just add 0.013 to both sides?

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

That is correct.

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

I'd be more than happy to verify your actual answer if you want to post it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=-6.373

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Sorry, that's incorrect. How exactly did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.36+0.013 than put in the negative

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Oh, in your original problem you didn't have a decimal after the 6. See a few posts up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops..

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

That said, it's still not exactly right by my calculation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

You can't put in the negative after the fact. I get: -6.36 + 0.013 = -6.347

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Do you understand why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no
