3/5x-1/4x+14=7/10x

hero (hero):

3x/5 - 1x/4 + 14 = 7x/10 -x/4 + 56/4 = 7x/10 - 6x/10 56/4 - x/4 = x/10 (56-x)/4 = x/10 10(56-x) = 4x 560 - 10x = 4x 560 = 14x x = 560/14 x = 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3/5 x-1/4x-7/10x=-14\] \[-7/20x=-14 \]\[x=-14\div(-7/20) \]\[x= 40\]
