|dw:1327301528168:dw| That wording might have made it a bit hard to understand with the 1 and 2 acting as variables. x + a = 180 ; supplementary angles on a line x + b = 180 ; supplementary angles on a line a = 180 - x b = 180 - x easier to see that they are equal. So set your two angles equal and solve 11x-37 = 7x+27
