Find the coordinates of the other endpoint when you are given the midpoint and one of the endpoints. P1 M P2 (-16, 0) (0, -16) ( , )

hero (hero):

Plot the points on graph paper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did i tried everythinq i juss need the answer bro

OpenStudy (radar):

Let get the segment clear. Is the mid point (0,-16)?

hero (hero):

good point radar. It appears that way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the midpoint is (0,-16)?

OpenStudy (radar):

Ask yourself is the x value at the midpoint smaller or larger than the x at P1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its smaller im quessinq

hero (hero):

(16,-32)

OpenStudy (radar):

Don't guess, which is larger -16 or 0?

hero (hero):

I didn't guess, lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lmao

OpenStudy (radar):

It is larger at the midpoint, and it will be even larger at P2 by the same amount P2 (16,y)

OpenStudy (radar):

Now work on the y for P2, same way

hero (hero):

radar, he's not even here anymore.

OpenStudy (radar):

Note the y is getting smaller at the midpoint and note the amount it decreased by 16. so y will decrease the same amount down to a -32. (16,-32). He will be back (i hope)

OpenStudy (radar):

I guess all he wanted was just the answer, not the knowledge to obtain the answer lol
