(-1,3); y = 2x - 8
can u provide more information?
what do u want to do with it?
@luis ? O_O ? how did u know that is what he wants?
Write an equation in slope-intercept form of the line that passes through the given point and is parallel to the graph of the given equation.
ok if the line is parallel then the slope remains the same, so the slope is 2. So the equation of the new line is \[y=2x +b\] now it passes through (-1,3) so substitute to get the value of b \[3=-2+b\] \[b=5\] so your equation is \[y=2x+5\]
well tried @luis but this time its parallel not perpendicular
Thanks AKshay.. can you help me with all my math homework? =)
cannot guarantee, just back from work, the moment i sleep i am off lol, but till that time i am helping you :D also others can u help as u well
Thank you, the second question is (2,6); y = -3x + 5
