OpenStudy (sidmanfu):

Which of the following numbers is composite? 4, 5, 9, 15

OpenStudy (mertsj):

4,9,15

OpenStudy (sidmanfu):

thanks

OpenStudy (mathmate):

A composite number has factors other that 1 and itself. From the above numbers, there is only one which is NOT composite. For example, factors of 4 are 1,2,5, so it is composite.

OpenStudy (sidmanfu):

soo "mathmate" what is the answer then?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

4,9,15 as Mertsj had it. The question is probably incorrectly worded saying: "Which of the following numbers IS composite" when there are three composites.

OpenStudy (sidmanfu):

thanks
