Here's a question I have to answer for university application: Who or what inspires you as a learner? Use an example of a personal experience. (approx. 250 words) Does anyone have ideas of some general topics I could do this question on? I'm not sure what kinds of answers would be appropriate. I just want some suggestions. Thanks!
Who inspires you? Think about the last time you went off and researched something to learn more about it. Who inspired you to do that research? Was it a teacher? Was it an author you were reading? Was it your mom? Maybe it was yourself. It's a pretty personal question, so you'll have to reflect on it a bit.
My son is my inspiration. For him I wake up everyday and aim to learn on and on. More I learn, more I feel prepared to life. I hope that my dedication to learning be an inspiration for him as well.
Like jagatuba said - for a university application, the more personal you can be, the better. Have you had a specific teacher or mentor that believes in you or has made you enjoy a specific subject? (Great answer for a "who.") Or maybe there is something specific - such as writing, or biology - that drives and inspires you. (That would be a "what".) Try to attach a story to your reasoning, and it will come across much more multi-dimensional. Remember - admissions officers read hundreds of essays, so the stronger your personal story is, the better your application essay will be!
