A: Find the domain of the function B: Locate any intercepts C: Graph the function D: Based on the graph, find the range E: Is f continuous on its domain Function: F(x)= 3x if -21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you should look at this function separately and locate the domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the domain all reals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. If both are separate functions then the domain, all the numbers between -2 < x <= 1 for F(x) = 3x. and for F(x) = x+1 -> domain { x > 1} ; B. Interception between the both function 3x = x+1 -> x = 1/2 -> y = 1.5; since it is within the domain it is a solution. C. graphing should be ok D. Range should be for F(x) = 3x -> -6 < F(x) <= 3 and the other range is x > 2 E. Both are continuous in their domains. except for x equal to 1 ( i think)
