Find the vertex, the line of symmetry, the maximum or minimum value of the quadratic function, and graph of function for f(x)=-x^2+12x+3

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

C'mon not the whole HW!

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

V = (6, 39) Line, x = 6 Max @ 39 |dw:1327463575257:dw|

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

remember the general quadratic formula then x = -b/2a will give the line of symmetry. Substitute this value into the original equation to get the max or min. The coefficent of x^2 determines concavity, positive concave up, negative concave down. Last set is to find the roots by solving for x so let\[-x^2 +12x + 3 = 0 \] looks like you'll need the GQF to find x or where the curve cuts the x axis
