How much water must be added to 12 L of a 40% solution of alcohol to obtain a 30% solution?

This means 7.2 L of water.
(7.2+x)=0.7(12+x)
7.2+x=8.4+0.7x
0.3x=1.2
x=4
x is the amount of water added.
