In the papers you are likely to be writing now, yes.  That helps keep you focused.  Later on, as you write at the university level, you will find that this is not necessarily so.  The thesis may be complex enough that it takes more than a single sentence to adequately explore it, and/or you may be presenting it in such a manner that you choose to develop it as such.
