I am working on a 2,000 word paper for a class online, and am using the APA style. I would apprecuiet some help with two unique kinda' references. One is an article from a professional journal, where one person is reviewing another's book. The journal is TESOL Quarterly. The book is Age and the Rate of Foreign Language Learning, by Carmen Munoz. The reviewer is Eva Alcon Soler I would like to refer to that review.
Cite the article not the book, even if you are referring to something that the author quoted from the book. For example, if John Doe wrote a journal article the was a review of Jane Buck's book, you might do something like this: Doe (1999) concludes, "Jane Buck's use of the simile, 'her hair was like amber waves of grain' was somewhat flat and cliche" (p. 2). And the reference entry would be a journal reference. Something like this: Doe, J. (1999, January 17). Title of the article. TESOL Quarterly, 1(13), 1-3. doi: 314523355 (if there is no doi and you retieved the article from the Internet, use the URL)
