(4x^3)^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/(16x^6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i first multiplied both expos to get (4x)^-6 then put it in the form 1/(4x)^6 Thus i conclude to 1/4096x^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why wouldn't it be 1/4x^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because both the coefficient AND the variable (x) are effected by the -2 exponent.
