Find 3 numbers in A.P. whose sum is 15 and the product is 45.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9, 5, 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how u let the numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If i have to find 5 numbers than how we do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u mean how did i find them??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just look through three numbers that could multiply to get 45 only 3 3 5 and 9 5 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know for odd number we let.....(a-2d), (a-d),a,(a+d),(a+2d)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me how this comes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell meeeeeee...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, that comes into use if the question says the numbers are consecutive but its almost useless if it doesnt say that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Assume The Numbers To be a, a+d , a+2d and make out two equations by first adding them and then multiplying them ... Make their sum equal to 15and product equal to 45.... Then U will get two equations in terms of 'a' and 'd' Then Subtract Those both and U will get The values of 'a' and 'd' .... Then ultimately you will get what the numbers are!! ... Got it??
