Given the function: 1/sqrt(x), find the equations of the tangent lines at the points (1,1) and (4,1/2) using the difference quotient or m=lim x->a (f(x)-f(a))/(x-a). Any advice?

differentiate wrtx you get -(1/2)*(1/x^(1.5)) ... hence slope at 1,1 = -0.5 and at (4,1/2) is -1/16 Now get the equation
