What's the difference between an escarpment and a cliff?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its easy to get confused between the two. A cliff is simply a rock exposure with a near vertical (or vertical) facing. However, an escarpment is a long cliff or steep slope (causes bu erosion/faulting processes)
