Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y > -3x + 3 y > x + 2 Answer (-2, -5) (2, 5) (2, -5) (-2, 5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2,-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

each point gives you a value for x and a value for y. e.g. the first point (-2, -5) represents x=-2, y=-5. so just plug each pair of values into the inequalities to determine which one(s) satisfy them both.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm its wrong -.-

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

andres - have you tried plugging in each pair of values to determine which one(s) satisfy both inequalities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on... i already failed that assignment -.- posted new question.. take a look

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

I guess you are just after the answers rather than gaining any understanding of how to do these?
