I need help in finding the perimeter and area of a kite.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, what's the question? or do you just want the equation and how to solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mm kite is a diamond shape, there for divide in to 2 triangles.. then solve it <<<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of a kite is found by multiplying the diagonals going through the center and dividing it by 2. area= 1/2(d1xd2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it's an examplbut I don't understand and it gives me 3 side lengths. AX= 10 XC= & DB= 18. I dont know if that helps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

top is A middle is X. sorry it's sloppy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Left is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area=252

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of a tirangle is (1/2)(base)(height)<<< there is 2 triangle- one at top and bottom by splitting it.
