Which set of measurements would NOT form a triangle? Answer 8, 6, 9 19, 16, 18 9, 8, 16 6, 9, 18

OpenStudy (amistre64):

short+short > long; forms a triangle

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so anything that does not conform to this does NOT form a triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the first one correct?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

8+6 > 9 14 > 9 ; IS a triangle

OpenStudy (amistre64):

doing the math helps :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo i see its the last one

OpenStudy (amistre64):

8+6> 9 ? 19< 16+18 ? 9+8 > 16 ? 6 + 9 > 18 ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

last one yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much this is the first time i have ever seen this

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you think about it, if the short ends never meet, they cant form a triangle when attached to the longer piece. they just dangle there off the ends
