Explain, in complete sentences, how you would factor 3x4 – 9x3 – 120x2. Provide the factors.

First of all, I would factor 3x^2 from each term. Which would leave 3x^2 (x^2 - 3x - 40). Next factor x^2 -3x -40 to (x + 5) (x - 8). Factors are 3x^2 (x +5) (x - 8)
