Solve the equation by graphing: x^2 – 18x + 81 = 0. A. {-2, 9} B. {9/2, 3} C. {9} D. No solution

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since you have options, why not just plug and play?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

1 -18 81 0 -2 1 -20... -2 not a zero

If you have to graph, I would convert the equation into vertex form.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

1 -18 81 0 9 -81 1 -9 .... 9 IS a zero

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and; 18/2 = 9, ^2 = 81 so its a perfect square already

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id go 9 :)

If you are asked to graph - then you need to know how to graph. Do you understand how to graph the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya the answer is 9 guys

Make a T-chart |dw:1327882261999:dw| keep on going till you get a y value of 9. You will notice the trend of lowering y values.
