how do you show vector d = vector a - vector b

OpenStudy (turingtest):

|dw:1327895801958:dw|\[\overrightarrow{a}+\overrightarrow{b}=\overrightarrow{c}\to\overrightarrow{a}=\overrightarrow{c}-\overrightarrow{b}\to\overrightarrow{b}=\overrightarrow{c}-\overrightarrow{a}\to\dots\]etc. I'm not sure how to do a formal proof on it...

thanks, I need to know how to show vector d=vector a - vector b

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Vectors add head to tail|dw:1327896350968:dw|so we have\[\overrightarrow{a}=\overrightarrow{b}+\overrightarrow{d}\]which means that\[\overrightarrow{d}=\overrightarrow{a}-\overrightarrow{b}\]is as close as I get offhand to a proof.
