A rectangular-shaped parking lot is to have a perimeter of 510 yards. If the width must be 96 yards because of a building code, what will the length need to be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A rectangle has 2 widths (96 yards each) and 2 lengths. So 510 - 96 - 96 = 318 yards, which is the 2 lengths. Length is 318 / 2 = 159 yards. :)
