ax+by=c. AX = Numerator and BY is the denominator correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm not sure what you mean, can you explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question is : Write the numerator in the first blank and the denominator in the second blank. Solve for a: ax+by=c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, i don't see a division operation around, but if we rewrite it to the standard formula we have: by=ax+c y=(ax+c)/b y=(a/b)x+c/b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b is the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and AX is the numerator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i assume that!!!

Thanks Omar
