Your mother has just asked you what you want for your birthday. Write a detailed sensory paragraph describing what you would like

I'm betting the confusing part here is the "detailed sensory paragraph." Don't worry! All that it is asking you to do is to better describe what you want for your birthday. The question wants you to use words that appeal to your senses. Take this gift as a quick example: a Hershey's chocolate bar. Now, I could write a sentence that says "I would like a Hershey's chocolate bar for my birthday," but that's kind of boring, right? Add to that sentence! "I would love a Dark Chocolate bar because its silky, bittersweet taste and that slightly earthy smell bring me straight into bliss." That makes my mouth water! Use as many words as you can that appeal to your senses, sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell, to describe your desired gifts. This website has a few good words and some good ideas to help you along. http://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/662095-Sensory-Words
